Daily Blog 10

In this blog I wanna talk about the most encouraging and exciting Arsenal games in this year.
When I know the process of the match. I just stunned.
It is totally incredible that a soccer team heave behind 4 goals can win at last, especially in a professional League. However the Arsenal team just did it. Arsenal stormed back from 4-0 down after 37 minutes to beat Reading 7-5 in extra-time to reach the quarter-finals of the Capital One Cup for the 10th successive season.
It is a game one month ago, but I think it will be written in the history of Arsenal, because I think it can make any soccer fan to be excited. So let's a video about the game.

When you fell down, when you feel no hope, you can see it. I think you will got a lot of power from it, and you will be the man succeed in the end.

Daily Blog 9

In this blog I want to talk about my experience as a gunner, Arsenal fan. I fall in love with this traffic team when I was 12, and that period is the greatest time for Arsenal. In the season 2003-2004, the Arsenal team are undefeated for 49 games, more than a year! In that season, the team won the England Premier League and it is the latest time the team won the Premier League Champion. After I become the fan, the team becomes not good enough as before, many stars are transferred to other teams. However, I never changed my love for the team, no matter what the situation its in. It becomes a faith in my heart and I can feel what the fun really means. So I will continue to support Arsenal no matter what happens and what the team likes. Go Arsenal, go Gunners!

From today I want to talk about something about my team, Arsenal. After all, it is related to my topic and I haven't wrote a blog about it.... Next I wanna introduce the greatest shooter in Arsenal Club's history.

He had exquisite technique, searing pace and surprising strength. And like the typical schoolboy superstar, he did pretty much everything for his team. Henry was the captain, the talisman, the dead- ball expert, the penalty-taker and the assist-maker.

Then there's the goals, a club record 228 of them to be precise. And what a portfolio Henry built up during his eight years as Arsenal. Thumping drives, delicate chips jinking runs, audacious backheels, even the odd header- Henry had a myriad of ways to find the net.

New York is where Henry now plies his trade. But he will always be an Arsenal man. In 2007 the fans voted for the Gunner's Greatest Moments and Henry was involved in five of the top 10. And he will go back to Arsenal in this winter. I feel so excited about that.

In this Blog I want to say something about travelling. I felt a little bit regret now. I came here at the beginning of August, and the semester begins at August 15th, I did nothing in that 2 weeks! I thought I would have a lot of time in 5 months, however, after the semester begins, I barely have time for fun. The study here is quite different from China, the semester is shorter and the course is harder, so the time is very tight for me.

Now, the semester is ending, and we will go back to China at December 31st, so I have another 2 weeks for travel, without classes. We have many discussions these days, some of my friends wanna go to NY, Boston, DC, these places, and some wanna go to Mexico. I think Mexico is very  very cool! However, there are many other thinking, many people think it might be unsafe, so the plan is denied at last, and most people want to travel will go to northeast part. I have already go to NY 2 years ago, so I think I do not need go to there again. Maybe I can go to Orlando, it also a beautiful city, the weather is warm, and has Disneyland. It must be fun.

In this Blog I would like to talk about things related shopping in the US. Before I come here, many friends of mine told me that many things in the US are much cheaper than in China. And now I have been there for more than 4 months. Though I barely have chances go shopping, I found that many things do cheaper than China.

I bought my new laptop here, it's Lenovo Thinkpad T430. I like it very much. I have a friend in China also bought a same laptop, but I got more than 30% cheaper than him. Also, there are many other things cheaper than China, especially electrics: Iphone, Ipad and cameras. I have a plan to buy an Iphone5 for myself and and Ipad mini for my mom. I missed the Thanksgiving shopping because I couldn't go to outlets, but I will take the Christmas opportunity for shopping, our friends all have plan to shopping at Christmas day.

In this blog I wanna talk about my studying experience in the US. As you maybe know, we are visiting students in Gatech and I am the one of 36 people. We have 4 classes here, 2 Mathematics classes, 2 English classes. We took English classes in the Language Institute and took Mathematics classes in Mathematical Department. The English classes, I think, is just like the English class we took in China. It all because that our English professor in China also in an American, and his way to teach is just like teachers here. We have many discussion and thinking in the class and a lot of homework.

However, the Mathematics we studied here is quite different from we took in China. Our two classes are Algebraic Topology and Mathematical Biology. Algebraic Topology is my nightmare. It is a graduate level class for math student, and I feel is very abstract and difficult. Mathematical Biology Class also is very different from the tradition math classes we took in China. It includes both Math and Biology, the math is okay, and the knowledge of the Biology is okay, too. However,  the words are too difficult for me! There are lots of Biology nouns and terms, and sometimes I can't even know some word's explanation. I have finished the Algebraic Topology class, I just took the final exam last Thursday, and Mathematical Biology final will held on next Tuesday.

Today I wanna talk about some difficulties I met in graduate school application. I am in my fourth year now and want to apply graduate school in the US. However, it is much more complicated than I thought before. I was think that it just like the application  in China, we just need take the required tests and get the interview if your score has reached the minimum line. In the United States, however, there has not a minimum level for test scores, like GRE even Toefl. But, it has some other requirements. For instance, every school will need a Personal statement, CV, and 3 recommend letters, and some school even need more essays like Personal Statement. The Personal Statement writing is a big problem to me. I haven't write such thing before so it's totally new to me.

I have worked out a draft about that and has made some changes. I have many things to do recently so I will the time is very tight. Hope me luck!
